Why do YOU blog?

I read oodles and oodles of blogs.  Some I love to read and some I just come back to read because I am drawn in by their lives. Sucky or not..

I’ve read blogs where blogger whore out themselves… or whore out their families. Share the most deepest of all deep and yet,revolting at times, but I still read them..  WHAT’S WRONG WITH ME? Addicted to blogs you say?

Some blogs I’ve read are SO negative and “me me me” blogs that I want to poke my eyeballs out.. but it’s all good, right? It’s THEIR blog and if they want to look like asshats, who I am I to say?

There are blogs that are so touching – so inspiring and thought provoking that when I grow up and become a real blogger – they, yes THEY will be my blog mentors..

There are anonymous blogs and blogs that people are real on.. Which is better?

So – why do YOU blog? What do you hope to gain? Do you hope to be recognized for your writing skills? ( not happenin’ here, I promise you that!! )  Or is it for social reasons?

I am not new to this blogiverse, not at all.  I’m just more your silent type that sits back and soaks it all in. 

It’s very interesting – I don’t know where I fit in - Am I a mommy blogger? Well, I am a Mom and I do blog.  But I am more than that. I am a wife and a Mom. I am a Mommy of an angel.  I am the best friend you could ever have.  Seriously.

Why do I care so much about fitting in this “bloggy world”.. Why?  It’s a little bit like high school – you wanna sit at the cool kids table.. yanno..

I have a lot to say – a lot to share . And a LOT to learn from others. So I will keep posting , hoping that people see that I am worth 5 minutes of blog reading time.

Being in Washington state and having my husband in Florida is proving to be very difficult.

But you know how awesome he is? He made a surprise visit to us this last week.  Loved it. I just about screamed in the middle of the restuarant when he walked in .. Tricky tricker!  The 5 days went way too quickly- but we cherished every second!

I love him so much .. and I know eventually there will be a job in Radiology open here in Washington. There HAS to be!!

I have decided that I am going to blog daily – even though I know there is very little traffic.  Surely that’s how everyone else started as well. Right? Someday I will be kinda a big thing on the internet. Someday.

Oh and hey – my friend Natalie has a beautiful daughter who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor called an Optic Glioma. The most wonderful Anissa is helping raise money for this sweetheart. PLEASE go check out Annisa’s site. Look at the purty earrings that are there – they can be yours!

This week at 5 minutes for special needs, I was honored to be able to write a post that came from the deepest parts of my heart.The part that hurts the most and reminds me daily of who I am.

Whether this affects you personally or you know someone who has lost a child, please – PLEASE take time to read this.

I hope to continue to write, I love it – am I good at it? No, probably not. However, I know that I am able to share my heart and within that perhaps I can touch at least one heart along the way.
