sitting down and crying
Today I just want to sit down and cry.
I was supposed to leave for Florida on Sunday..
Due to a serious scheduling conflict I am not leaving until Wednesday.. LATE Wednesday
and… We are packing the uhaul and heading back to Washington on Thursday morning..
Dealing with the people at www.orbitz.com was HORRIBLE.
I will never use them as an online ticket agent EVER again. DO YOU HEAR ME, ORBITZ? NEVER AGAIN.
They made me cry.. and really? That’s a hard thing to do.
I won’t be able to meet up with the sweet girls that I had planned on meeting .
I won’t be able to stop in at the school I taught at and catch up with those girls.
I won’t be able to stock up on the yummy cuban food ( nom nom)
Overwhelmed and it sucks.

Uh, really? Seriously?
Just a few random observations this week..
* Wearing socks with sandals? Uh, not so much. Even if you are gorgeous..
*Just because you are a size 2, that gives you ABSOLUTELY no right to attempt to get in front of me in the checkout lane. I WILL run you over with my cart.
*Speaking of a size 2 – yeah, so what if I – as a chubby girl, buy icecream.. I AM going to eat it. Don’t judge me.
*Uh, really – seriously? All this outrage over Kate spanking Leah. (from the horrible reality show, Jon and Kate plus eight) Don’t get me started on this topic.
*I called you on Father’s Day – you haven’t called me back. No matter what, I am always your daughter. Oh, I know you love me. Can you not take the time to show it?
*Road rage doesn’t solve anything, it just makes me slow down even more.. asshat
I shall leave you with this..

Will you?
So this weekend – my husband was driving on the freeway in Florida when his tire shredded, causing serious issues with controlling his vehicle. Thankfully he was able to pull to the side of the road without being hit or hitting someone else. And? He had just finished up working a 16 hour shift as well.
Instead of people stopping to see if he was okay – they honked and screamed at him. This hurt my heart. 3200 miles away and I could do NOTHING.
Neither did anyone else. Not a single person. Not even the numerous Florida Highway Patrol that went buy. Serve and Protect ? I think NOT.
Then – I got to thinking – would I have? I hope I would have. I know times have changed from when I was a kid and we would help the random stranger who was broke down on the side of the road.
Sooo.. on the way back from lunch Sunday – there was a car broke down,on the side of the road . Yes, I did stop to make sure they were okay – and they were. Help was on it’s way.
From now on,I will be stopping – I WILL be that Good Samaritan – of course, I will take my safety into consideration.. What happens if not a single person stops to make sure everything is okay?
What truly has happened to our world to where we look the other way?

Dear Mr Policeman..
Dear County/City Police Person,
You can pull us over for speeding, but you can speed past us like you’re on a hot pursuit? ? Just to pull into Starbucks? Explain that to me.
You can pull us over for not using our blinker to change lanes , but what’s good for the goose is NOT good for the gander? Explain that to me. Please use your blinker. You just about took out my front bumper. Jerk.
You can pull us over for changing lanes in an intersection, but it’s okay for you to do so? What?!
Just because you drive a fast car with flashing lights does not make you exempt from the law, correct? Correct.
Explain THAT to me.
Sincerely,
Chrissi
